"If given time to absorb the nature of the work and its maker, the person who uses these pots will share in the creative act that produced the piece." - Warren MacKenzie |

My work is high-fire stoneware that is gas or wood fired with reduction glazes. I begin each vessel on the potter's wheel with functionality in mind. I work to create pieces of art that people can take home, use, and enjoy in a way that is personal and unique to them. There is something very special about using a piece of dinnerware that has been handmade. An almost intimate feeling occurs when you hold a cup that fits in your hands so perfectly; it’s as if it were created with you in mind.
I am constantly exploring and learning new things about my work. I have always been interested in art. Throughout my childhood and high school years, I moved from finger-paints to film rolls. After I graduated high school and began my college studies, I found my passion in clay. |
